Within our Deli you'll find delectable roast beef, homestyle and mesquite turkey, and many other sandwich-friendly meat choices. Lots of people ask why we pre-slice deli meats in most of our stores, and the answer is simple: it results in fresher, moister, better meat. That's because most conventional supermarket Delis are taking their meat out of the refrigerator time and time again throughout the day. This breaks the cold chain and allows the meat to dry out. It also makes it much more difficult for those stores to clean their slicers and prevent cross-contamination.

At Sprouts, we typically take the meat out of the refrigerator once, at the beginning of the day; cut what is needed on dedicated, sanitized slicers; and bag it up for that day's sales. The result? Fresh, moist, succulent sliced meats in handy packages that you can grab-and-go; rigorously safeguarded safety; and less effort expended on labor, so we can pass the savings on to you!
